Today is not just another normal sunny Saturday. My girlfriend is now employed and today is officially her 1st day at work. Believe it or not, her employer actually calculated feng shui on her behalf and determined that today is a good day to start her maiden career...
... either that or something serious must have happened that they need her to start work as soon as possible. XD
To be frank, I am not entirely satisfied with the terms and conditions as offered by her employer. However, with this being her chosen path, I believe that the best I could do is to supportively stand by her instead of going 101 reasons on why she should not accept the job in the first place. :P
Hmm... let us change our perspective to look at the bright side instead! A new life is waiting and there will be tons of stuff to learn and catch up on! Things could have got worse and it is not the end of the world anyway!
This morning when I fetch her to the office (where someone else will fetch her to the factory), I forgot to give her something important.
Prosperity ang pow for smooth working life ahead.
I wonder how much should I put inside this ang pow? What do you guys think? How much would you put if you were in my position? :/

B12: Vegetarian's nemesis
For the record, I am now back to being an omnivorous creature. Yeah, I know I vowed to consume less meat but after what happened last week, I guess giving up meat is not as easy as I thought it to be.
3 weeks ago, I did not face much difficulty in regaining my basketball touch on the court.
A week later, I started to experience giddiness and fatigue after an hour into the game. Upon reaching home, I forewent the bath and took a nap but the situation did not improve by much. The exhaustion was so severe that going out of the house to buy myself a meal was totally out of the picture.
With not much option left, a quick hypothesis pointed to the lack of meat-related nutritions as 1 of the possible causes. As a result, I have to put my herbivorous lifestyle on hold and observe my condition for any noticeable improvement in the coming few days.
6 days went on with slight vertigo persistently lingering on in my head. With the floor constantly wobbling erratically, it did not take very long before Mr. Depression starts knocking on my mental door, whispering "Parkinson's Disease!" non-stop in the most rusky voice imaginable.
Yeah, label me paranoid, pessimistic or anything else but when you are stuck with the notion that something is going wrong in your head for the past few months long, you would be freaked out as much as I do, if not worse.
Anyway by the 7th day, the lightheadedness started to fade away little by little. Some simple Googling revealed that I might have been struck with Vitamin B12 deficiency due to imbalanced diet for the past month.
Now, to overcome this tiny obstacle, I will have to get some milk (yuck!) or alternatively, dietary supplements. The next question to ponder upon would be - is there any other nutritions that I might be lacking of apart from Vitamin B12 that could have caused similar symptoms?
SIGH~
Food is so complicated.

Tan Hong Ming in love
I believe that many of you have seen this commercial before which was aired for a period of time during our 50th National Day, 2007. Simple and short, isn't it? Would you be surprised to know that this commercial has actually won a few international awards in the short span of 9 months?
I find it very nostalgic how Tan Hong Ming reminds me of my silly crush on a Malay primary school classmate of mine while I was still in Standard 3 or Standard 4 back then. Yeah, I know I should be concentrating on books instead of chasing after girls. The only difference would be instead of Ummi Qazrina, her name was Mazura Bt. Md. Yusoff. :P

Kar Sum's wedding dinner
Last Saturday I travelled all the way to Sungai Petani to look for Ah Yin attend my colleague's wedding dinner. This would be the 2nd wedding dinner that I am making myself present as a friend - to either the bride or bridegroom.
Ms. Beh Yock Ling & Mr. Ng Kar Sum.
The dinner itself was held at the Kuantan Xianren Restaurant, a week earlier from the marriage ceremony. There will be a 2nd wedding dinner to be held at Kar Sum's residence in Ipoh on this coming 11th of May. A total of 5 cars fetching 14 souls occupied 2 tables in the restaurant.
Mei Yuen = photographer.
The dinner was overall pretty OK with nothing much to complain about... apart from some cockroaches roaming about and not-so-clean utensils. Bah, let us not take too much negativity into consideration for such a happy occasion.
May the 2 of you live happily ever after.

Iron Man
Iron Man.
Breathtaking - is the only word that best describes the movie.
1st in the breathtaking list would be the Mark 3 armour, take no doubt about it. If you were to ask me, the Mark 3 armour actually put Transformers' transformation sequence to shame.
Evolution of Iron Man's armours.
Casting Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark played an essential role in the success of this movie as well. I could not think of any other better actors to portray Tony Stark as wacky as Robert Downey Jr. did. I guess my friend, Claire Lee would be very pleased with the latest development on this favourite actor of hers.
Next on the list would be Tony Stark's Malibu mansion and the gadgets in the basement itself. The mansion has all the to-die-for elements which I shall not elaborate here.
Last on the list would be the Malay Language translation of the title: Orang Besi. WTF?!
All right, enough air in my lungs now so let us stop taking in anymore breath. The movie started out slow, with a flashback on how Tony Stark ended up as a captive in Afghanistan. Once he returned to his Malibu mansion, the saliva-dripping session commenced with a few comical experiments and conversations to lighten up the fact-paced plot a little.
The only grudge I have against this movie would be the battle between Iron Man and Iron Monger which I deemed to be a little too fast short, too furious plain.
Nevertheless, I will still rate Iron Man as one of the few Marvel superhero movies that is truly entertaining (the other one would be Spiderman). Make sure you do not miss it! ;)
