Let's Talk About Work Episode 1: Technical Support

"Every job is noble", one of my friends once said but I say, "No job will get you any further away from weird / funny people."

Since the very first day I started my work as a technical support specialist, I have met all sort of people through the telephone and email. However, since this is my very own blog, I believe that it would not be wise for me to reveal too much about my work.

Therefore, I have attached a series of comic strips below that will give you a glimpse into the everyday life of a technical support specialist. I can safely assure you that all the scenarios pictured below are based on true experience.

Last but not least, credit goes to Barry Chang for sending me these comic strips.

Newbie computer users.

I rarely met PEBKAC customers.

Once in a blue moon weird customers.

The usual "do-it-for-me-or-else" demanding customers.

One of the "impossible" cases.

I shall add "Eng Hong would not be working as a technical support specialist."

In the end, nothing beats the satisfaction when the customers sincerely thanked you for the assistance and support that you have provided them. :)

aichoon: To be frank, it is very seldom for me to receive customers who managed to settle the issue by themselves. :S
