Greener grass

In Dell, people come and go all the time. I guess it was the same for all multi-national corporations since competitions and opportunities are abundant all year long. However, recently I was being shaken by the sudden departure of 2 of my close colleagues.

Early August saw Lee Hin leaving for Shell in Cyberjaya. I gave him one damn big CONGRATULATIONS since it was clearly a better place for such a talented person like him.

To make things even more interesting, my previous department's Team Leader, Say Leong left for Lenovo on the very day he announced his resignation.

Since the first day I joined Dell, the 2 of them has provided me with insurmountable amount of guidance, opportunities and knowledge. Therefore, I would like to dedicate this blog entry to the 2 of them for all that they have done for who else but me.

I would like to thank Say Leong for assimilating me into his department even though I clearly know nuts about computer hardware. Judging from how badly I fared during the official interview, I was pretty shocked that he decided to put his faith on me.

I would also like to thank Lee Hin for... EVERYTHING. There is truly no words or pictures that can describe how amazing Lee Hin is. I still remember vividly how he was initially assigned as my Phone Buddy. Just like the 26 alphabets, he played such an important role in my work life that I would have quitted Dell if not for his non-stop guidance and assistance.

They have definitely found the greener grass on the other side of the fence. I wonder where my green grass patch is located at?
