UUM very mini reunion # 2

Time literally flies! The last time I managed to have at least three of my ex-coursemates out for a simple meal was two years ago... and one of them is in fact no longer in Penang for more than a year now.

I find it funny that unlike two years ago, this time around, there was no hesitation involved in getting an unanimous agreement for the rendezvous venue. I guess this is one of the side effects of having to brave through all kind of daily challenges in this strange phase of life called adulthood - you simply accept whatever decisions made by others as long as they are not difficult to deal with.

Meeting up with old friends has never failed to evoke a sense of peculiarity in me. I was always left wondering how much have they changed and whether if they expected the same from me. For the first hour or so, I tend to be cautious on what comes out from my mouth and listen attentively as each of us has our very own versions of life story to tell - and keep to ourselves.


Time can really turn friends into strangers.

Perhaps we should arrange for much more frequent get-togethers? Life is, after all, too short for us to delve on its shortcomings.
